The following members of the Memphis Chapter of the American Guild of Organists have asked to be referred for work as substitute organists. Guild members abide by the Code of Ethics and are to conduct themselves in a professional manner as outlined in the Code (a link to this Code may be found on the Memphis Chapter’s homepage: www.agomemphis.org)
There are no set fees for substitute work. Each organist should establish a range of fees which take into consideration the time spent in consultation, preparation of music, travel, as well as the actual performance of the worship service and any rehearsals required. A valuable resource – AGO Salary Guidelines - is available on the national AGO website: www.agohq.org.
If you have questions or wish to discuss the subject of fees, salaries, or other matters of professional concerns, please contact Phil Brown Professional Development Chair 604-7604 philcago@yahoo.com
